The Benghazi Center for Migration and Asylum Studies is an independent research institution that monitors and analyzes the reality of migration, asylum, and violations against migrants in Libya.
The center aims to produce reliable knowledge that contributes to the formulation of humanitarian policies. Through field research, reports, and and human rights documentation.
A Fairer Society
We aspire to build a society that respects the fundamental rights and human dignity of every human being. including migrants and refugees. Regardless of their background or legal status. We believe that justice can only be achieved when it includes marginalized and oppressed groups.
Political and social research and analysis
We produce studies and analysis that empower decision makers. and humanitarian organizations. and public opinion from a deeper understanding of migration contexts in Libya. and the effects of security and economic policies on the lives of migrants. We work independently and according to rigorous research standards.
Raising awareness and social impact
We launch media and training initiatives to raise community awareness of migrant and refugee issues. and correcting stereotypes about them. We also engage in lobbying and advocacy campaigns to modify national and international policies that affect their reality.
